Let's Grow Disc Golf
Our mission is to promote and grow the sport of disc golf in North Texas. We do so by empowering cities and residents in North Texas with the resources necessary to build new disc golf courses in our communities.

Why Disc Golf?
Disc golf is one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States, with more than 8,000 courses and 1,000,000 players in the United States. North Texas hasn’t kept up with the sport’s growth. Why should disc golf be a part of every North Texas city’s strategy and plan?
Increased tourism and revenue for cities
Disc golf tourism, when people travel to play or watch disc golf, is booming. Disc golfers enjoy the challenge of playing new courses, which means they’re willing to travel and bring their wallets with them. This leads to economic activity at nearby retailers, restaurants, hotels, and more.
Preserves the natural beauty of Texas
There are no other sports that rival disc golf in allowing cities to maintain their natural, undeveloped beauty. Disc golf courses have a low footprint on the existing land and allow natural landscapes (e.g. woods, streams, trees, forestation) to be enjoyed and remain across North Texas.
Safe, free, and fun for people of all ages
It’s not uncommon to spot a 3-year-old, an 18-year-old, a 40-year-old, and an 80-year old all on a disc golf course at the same time. Due to the fact that it’s free to play, disc golf is an accessible, inclusive, and diverse sport for people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Affordable to build and maintain
Compared to other uses of city-owned land, disc golf courses are an easy and affordable way for cities and Parks & Recreation departments to enrich the lives of their residents and build a healthier community. For example, a nice, 18-hole disc golf course can be installed for $20,000.

Did you know?
McKinney is home to Alex Clark Memorial Disc Golf Course. Alex Clark was recently named by UDisc as the #2 most popular disc golf course in the United States (based on rounds played). Even with McKinney’s popularity and strong reputation as a disc golf city, McKinney is only home to three 18-hole disc golf courses. Similarly, Frisco, one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities, only has one 18-hole disc golf course.
